Comic book fans are split on whether she is the right choice

When it comes to making a casting decision for one of their new superhero projects, Marvel supposedly listen to who the fans are calling for but, more often than not, they tend to cast someone who the fans have barely even thought about. That certainly seemed to be the case when they cast their actress for the new Marvel Netflix series Jessica Jones.

Fans spent weeks and months giving their views on which actress they believed would be perfect to play Jessica Jones and, while there were only a few small murmurs about Krysten Ritter, she was far from being a fan favourite for the role. However, Marvel announced that Krysten was their girl and, over the past few days and weeks, we have been getting plenty of Jessica Jones teasers.

With the Daredevil series proving such a huge hit on Netflix, there are high expectations for Jessica Jones and, while some comic book fans are giving Krysten Ritter their full backing, it seems that some are already writing off the series. One excited fan beamed, "Krysten Ritter looks perfect as Jessica Jones and these teasers have sent me into overdrive. Cannot wait!!" Meanwhile, a less impress fan added, "Didn't want Krysten Ritter from the start, still don't want her now. Jessica Jones is gonna suck."

Well, we are going to give Krysten Ritter the benefit of the doubt for now, and wait for Jessica Jones to hit Netflix before we decide on whether she was right for the role or not. We do not have too much longer to wait now, as Jessica Jones will hit Netflix on Friday, November 20. We cannot wait!
