Evangeline Lilly reprising role as The Wasp in Ant-Man sequel
It always feels like we should not get too excited or too comfortable with comic book movie release dates until they are very close indeed, as Marvel love to add new movies to their roster, which often results in the changing of release dates. That is exactly what has happened, when Marvel announced a number of new movies coming our way in the future.
The biggest talking point would have to be the Ant-Man sequel, which is currently being tentatively titled Ant-Man and The Wasp. This will see the return of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and it looks like we are going to finally get a very good look at Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, as she reprises her role as Hope van Dyne for the film.
As well as confirming the Ant-Man sequel, Marvel also announced the release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on July 6, 2018, which means that some other Marvel movie projects have had to be moved around. Black Panther has now been moved to February 16, 2016, while the Captain Marvel movie is now aiming for a March 8, 2019 release date.
As well as seeing Paul Rudd back as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly taking up the role of The Wasp, we are also going to see the return of Michael Douglas
as Hank Pym, with the actor recently admitting that he would love to
see his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones land a role in the sequel as Janet
van Dyne. Now that would be interesting to see.
