Could Gemma now play the role of Power Girl instead?

When it was confirmed that we were going to get a Supergirl television series, there were many fans all over the world who put forward actresses who they thought would be perfect for the role, before it was eventually announced that Melissa Benoist had been cast in the role.

Meanwhile, there were a number of actresses who had tried out for the role, with British beauty Gemma Atkinson admitting that she auditioned to play Supergirl but as unsuccessful in landing the role, which many people were a little upset about. Anyway, Gemma returned to the UK to continue her acting career on British TV but it sounds like we just might be getting her coming back to Hollywood to play a different superhero role.

 

The recent rumours suggesting that Gemma Atkinson could be in line to join the DCTV universe on The CW came after the actress herself took to her official social media accounts to post a fan made picture of her as the character Power Girl. This led to many fans suggesting that it must mean she is in talks to play Power Girl, while others have insisted that it is something that should definitely happen in the future.

We are big fans of Gemma Atkinson and we have no doubt that she has what it takes to become a huge success in Hollywood, so if she was to land the role of Power Girl in the DCTV universe, then we are sure she would be a big hit. For now though, it is pure speculation and we will just have to wait and see what does happen.
